Remixpoint liquidated its Ethereum, Solana, XRP, and Dogecoin holdings on Sept. 1. The sale brought in ¥878.8 million ($4.47 million). What the Tokyo-listed firm kept: about 1,501 bitcoin (BTC), now its only crypto asset.
Against a book value of ¥761 million ($3.87 million), Remixpoint booked a ¥117.8 million ($598,400) realized gain. The company disclosure, reported by Decrypt, places the gain as business-segment revenue in the second quarter of the fiscal year ending March 31, 2027.
Bitcoin stands alone on the balance sheet. Decrypt cited Bitcoin Treasuries data showing roughly 1,501 BTC worth $116.1 million, good for 38th place among public-company bitcoin holders. A crypto.news report put the tally at roughly 1,506 BTC. The discrepancy reflects different snapshot dates across aggregators.
Every position except Dogecoin closed in the green. Ethereum delivered ¥60.2 million ($305,900) in profit. Solana returned ¥49.3 million ($250,500). XRP added ¥11.5 million ($58,500). Decrypt’s breakdown of the disclosure shows Dogecoin was the drag, sold at a ¥3.3 million ($16,500) loss. That was the only red line in a basket Remixpoint had held since entering crypto treasury in August 2024, per Coingape.
The company said it weighed “the market environment, the risk-return characteristics of each cryptocurrency, the Company’s financial strategy, and other factors” before dumping every altcoin. Its cryptocurrency policy will now center on bitcoin. Remixpoint said the shift would clarify its approach and improve capital efficiency.
The staking income tied to the altcoin basket ends with the sale. Ethereum and Solana had together generated ¥29.9 million ($151,800) in staking rewards before the liquidation, per Decrypt. What remains is bitcoin lending. Remixpoint earned 14.92 BTC in lending fees from Feb. 24 through Aug. 31, valued at ¥164.2 million ($834,300). That income stream stays.
The move tracks a pattern among Asian public companies concentrating crypto exposure in bitcoin. Metaplanet, Japan’s largest corporate bitcoin holder, added 5,075 BTC in April to reach 40,177 BTC and agreed in August to contribute 2,100 BTC plus $2.5 million in cash to Super League Enterprises, Decrypt reported. Zhibao Technology received 2,380 BTC via a $154.7 million private placement the same month. Strive bought 1,110 BTC for $81.5 million, then added 1,800 BTC for roughly $143 million. Strategy purchased 4,603 BTC for $369.7 million at the end of August, ending a two-month pause.
What the strategic framing skips: the altcoin basket was profitable overall, but Dogecoin was the drag, and the staking yield was modest next to the bitcoin lending fees Remixpoint was already collecting. The consolidation cuts a losing position and a complex book. The filing did not specify whether Remixpoint intends to add to its bitcoin position with the sale proceeds. Shareholders will learn in Q2 whether the gain holds through to reported revenue.
